History of a Nurse Writer: Nursing Degree

The Accelerated Nursing Program and the University of South Alabama is phenomenal and I am so thankful for the education I received there! One of my favorite things about the program is that we took Masters level courses along with our BSN course work in order to smoothly bridge us to a Master's degree if we chose to pursue one.

One of the required Masters courses was Medical Research. My classmates would let out a collective groan when it was time to go to our Medical Research class, but I was thrilled. The TEACHER was even apologetic about how "dull" the material was, but I couldn't wait to get to the library to tackle our assignments.

The Medical Research course intrigued me so much because it tapped into the Health Promotion and Behavior degree I had just earned at the UGA College of Public Health. Health Promotion and Behavior was best practice applied outside of the medical world. The dots were connecting and I was getting to see the clinical research that preceded Public Health practice! Are you so excited right now?!

It's okay, I'm excited enough for both of us! In fact, that excitement fueled the purpose of this blog: to provide medical research that is summarized by a medical professional and then made functional for our day to day lives. Let's do it!
